Scitiphus picos

~ This creature has long ago lost its flight in favour of a leaping form of locomotion. The few wing feathers that remain serve only to stabilise the creature as it leaps across the rocks of the Tibetan plateau catching insects in its beak. Individuals have also been seen scurrying about on the backs of grazing Yak picking off skin parasites.
